For heritage lovers, the waterfront suburb Bellerive is perfect for a stroll through yesteryear. The picturesque village offers panoramic views of Hobart city and Mt Wellington from its marina and esplanade. Explore Bellerive’s beautiful historic homes by walking its streets from the marina to the beach. Walk up to Kangaroo Bluff Fort historic site, and discover how Queen Battery was built to support the Battery Point battery in protecting Hobart from enemy ships in the 1880s. Bellerive is also home to Tasmania’s only international cricket ground, the Bellerive Oval.
